What is the S721?

The S721 is the newest scanner in Socket Mobile's SocketScan range. It's a handheld 1D and 2D imager, so it reads standard retail barcodes (EAN, UPC, Code 128, Code 39) as well as QR codes, Data Matrix and PDF417. You can aim it at a barcode from any angle, and it reads codes shown on a customer's phone: digital vouchers, e-tickets, loyalty cards and QR codes.

It fits easily in one hand and comes in black, white, yellow, blue, green and red. Giving each station or staff member their own colour is a simple way to stop scanners wandering off.
